Itinerary description
🏰 La Ruta del Castillo. The city of Serra

First thing you need to do is to take the metro at Pl. Espanya (yellow Line 1) and get off at the Bétera station (the final station). 10 metres away take a bus to Serra village. The total cost is about 4 euros one way.

Arriving in Serra, you go to the starting point of the route. It is marked on the map. The path is laid along a wide, well-groomed trail, which, as it turns out in the future, is also a path for mountain bikes. Therefore, be careful.

After a small serpentine road and ascent up, a picnic area with comfortable tables and benches appears in front of you. Ideal for relaxing and eating.

As soon as you eat, climb to the top of the mountain directly to the castle that is basically the ruins of a former powerful structure. A very beautiful view opens up from that point. You will spend literally half an hour taking pictures and discussing the local landscapes.

Then you go down and continue your way along the same wide path till a small mountain spring, where benches and tables for relaxation are also conveniently located.

Follow the route and enjoy a walk through the countryside, get to know the culture and life of the locals. The path runs along roads and houses.

At the end go through the center of Serra, where you can stop at one of the bars for a coffee or a snack. Then come to the same point where you started. Take the bus, metro and here you are in Valencia.
